“Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.” Romans 12:4-5
Welcome to the family! You’ve decided that Loxley Church is home and want the world to know that you’re partnering with this church. Church membership is a way of officially identifying oneself with a local body of believers. It is biblical. It gives stability. It provides accountability. It benefits you!
“For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.” Romans 6:4
Baptism is a visible act with a spiritual meaning. It is a symbol of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. It is a symbol of your new life as a Christian and connects you to the body of Christ. Baptism does not make you a believer or save you, only your faith in Christ can do that (Ephesians 2:8-9) Baptism tells the world that you have decided to follow Jesus. It is the wedding ring of your relationship with Jesus. The ring doesn’t make you married, it simply lets the world know that you are!
“Train up a child in the way he should go. Even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Dear God,I come to you in the name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart the God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank you for saving me! In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
